Motion for Promotion

Squash and Stretch- the biggest take away from this technique is that an object cannot loose its mass in the process of creating this effect. if the width increases, the length decreases to compensate for the movement. Squash and stretch helps animation look more life like and without it things would have a more robotic movement to them.

Slow ins and outs has to do with with how we perceive motion and frame rate. Speed in objects have less frames while slower movement has more frames per second. Animation uses this to create realistic motion.

Staging has to do with setting up for a specific entertaining scenario in film, tv, animation, etc. Creating chaos, or setting up a normal scenario with a ridiculous outcome creates entertaining moments in film and media.

Secondary Action is when a secondary thing in frame along with the primary object performs its own progressive movement while the primary object does as well. It doesn’t have to be the same movement, just that more than one object or thing is happening at the same time.

Exaggeration has to do with increasing the drama in actions to make them seem for surreal while still understandable as the action being exaggerated.

Arc are another technique to create realism in animation. Instead of having animations follow straight lines, arc allow for movement to seem more real and less robotic.

Logo Stinger project. As a musician, making this logo stinger really is something I am glad I am doing as it’s something I can use! I created this video using templated graphics that I chopped and edited with my logo. It gives my logo a nice intro and glitch effect to add some kind of modern digital feeling. This is something that I am happy with and will use in the future when creating content for my music!
